Hello, the problem here is, you have to know which kind of tubes work best and what additives to add to your wax to make it stick properly and further deter melting once the finished tube is on the socket. The formula is more than simple wax. There are acids, hardeners and other additives that have specific duties. For a one time project the expense can be overwhelming and not worth it. Best would be to simply purchase beeswax candle covers from a company who manufactures these parts in volume. WTI Industries is such a company and can help you decide on proper size and color and can custom make a part that is perfect for your project.
