In order to make gel candles you are going to need gel, zinc wicks, the essential oil that you want to use for fragrance and liquid color dye. You can buy these materials online at a candle-making supplier.

You will need to make sure that you use essential oils and colors that have been made just for gel candles. Another thing that you are going to need is a 2-inch wide glass container. If you want to use embeds they should be non-flammable such as marbles, glitter, sand, sea shells, pebbles, polished stones, crystals, colored aquarium gravel, artificial jewels or pearls.

Now that you have all of your supplies it is time to make your candle. The first thing that you will want to do is place a small amount of hot glue in the middle of the container’s bottom. This is where you will set the wick and allow it to dry. While this is drying you can cut your gel into small pieces so that you can melt it faster and more evenly when you place it in a stainless steel pot over a medium heat.

Once your gel is exactly 200°F you will need to maintain that temperature until all of the gel becomes smooth like syrup. After the gel melts you can slowly add color dye until you get the color that you want. If you are going to add embedded objects then you should use a light color. You can also add 1/3 teaspoon of fragrance for each glass of melted gel that you have. If you like strong fragrances you may have to add a little more. In order not to have any bubbles you are going to need to heat your container in the oven at 150°F next. Once you have the gel prepared it is time to add the embeds. These should be kept closer to the sides of the containers so that they can be seen. Now set your container on a level surface and slowly pour the hot gel into it and pull the wick up. In order to keep the wick straight you will want to roll it with a pencil.

Now you are done and the candle can cool. Once it is cool you can trim the wick if you wish. Either way you now have a unique, beautiful gel candle.BE CAREFUL WHEN HANDLING HOT OBJECTS AND AROUND OPEN FLAMES, SAFETY FIRST!

Making scented beeswax candles is not difficult to do. Since essential oil evaporates quickly you will need to pour the beeswax into your mold at a very low temperature. Once you have poured your beeswax into its mold you can add the essential oils. You will need to then stir your essential oil thoroughly, however at the same time you also want to be careful that you do not cook out your scent. This can happen if you stir it too much.

Scented beeswax candles can also be made without melting the beeswax. What you need to do is add your essential oils by rolling from the sheet of beeswax. You can then soak your wick in the essential oils and then start rolling around it as well. One other way in which you can add essential oils to your beeswax candles is by dropping a drop of oil into the melted pool of wax that has accumulated on the top of your candle. Using beeswax is both an easy and a fun way to make scented candles.

If you choose to place the essential oils in your wick then you will need to first pre-cut your wick to whatever length you desire. Then you will need to place your essential oil and a small amount of rubbing alcohol into a small glass jar and shake it well to make sure that the liquid is mixed. If you want to use the alcohol in order to extend your essential oil then you will want to ensure that the fragrance is distributed evenly throughout your wick. Once you prepare the mix you can then place all of your wicks into the mixture. You will want to close the lid and shake it well. You may also want to let it sit overnight.

Once you have prepared your wicks you can work with the beeswax. This should be done at room temperature because if it is too cold it cannot be rolled. You will also want to make sure that you have a good contact between the wick and the candle and that there are no air pockets. Start rolling the beeswax until you get the thickness that you desire. Once you have done this you can then use a hot knife in order to seal the edge. Make sure that you roll the candle really tight because if you do not it will not burn properly.

It is not hard to learn how to make scented candles but you will have to do some experimenting in order to learn what scents work well together and how much essential oils to use. After you find the right combination you will be able to create unique names for the scents that you have created.

Scented candles can be made using a pillar, tapered or jar candle mold. What you need to do is pour a few drops of the essential oils into the wax that you are using to create your candle. Make sure that you thoroughly stir the scents throughout the wax. If you do not do this you will not get the scent that you wanted to create. In fact, it is very possible that you will end up with a batch of candles wherein each one has a different scent.

There are many essential oils that can be used for scented candles. Each of these essential oils also has therapeutic benefits that occur whenever the candle is burnt and the candle’s aroma is released throughout the air. Whenever you combine scents the therapeutic effect of your candle can have an interesting effect.

Two essential oils that are great to combine for those who are just starting out making scented candles is cinnamon and clary sage. Both of these essential oils help us clear our mind and connect with our inner spirit. They also are wonderful fragrances. Combining the two together could bring out each one’s best properties. Of course, you are going to have to do some experimenting. You cannot simply rely on an essential oil’s therapeutic effects to influence you whenever you are deciding what custom scents to create. This is the same thing that is also true about combining colors to create a pleasing effect.

Rose scented candles are probably the most popular candles available anywhere today. This is because rose scented candles have the soft, delicate fragrance that comes from the perfume of a rose that is blooming in the early summer. High quality, pale pink wax is used to create these rose scented candles. Most of the time the burning time for rose scented candles is very long so that you can truly enjoy the scent of these rose scented candles for quite a while. Of course you will need to trim the wick regularly and never burn a candle while it is unattended.
